For Basu Tee, the main motivation for introducing Dynamics 365 Business Central was to reduce man-hours and workload and improve traceability as part of its own IFS certification. “We wanted to conserve resources and minimize our workload by moving from manual to digital,” explains Sirdhartha Basu, one of the company’s managing directors. The implementation process went smoothly, although there were initial challenges, such as mapping special units in the tea area and bilingualism. “The project team gradually set up the individual modules such as purchasing, sales and accounting. It was very clear and easy for us to understand,” reports Basu. Following implementation, the ERP system has brought significant benefits for Basu Tee. Basu explains: “We have saved time, especially when preparing quotations and creating sales orders and invoices. As a result, we now have more free capacity to take care of other things, such as traceability and sustainability.”
The employees at Basu Tee have responded positively to the new system. “Many steps were self-explanatory and we were able to map the training well internally. The system was very well received and quickly understood.” Basu Tee plans to expand the ERP system further, particularly with regard to future legal requirements such as e-billing. “We also want our business to continue to grow and achieve higher sales while managing the additional workload in a small team.” Basu Tee would recommend Dynamics 365 Business Central and the NC365 SMART Start packages from NAS conception GmbH to other companies. “It is a very effective system for us small businesses. It is cloud-based, the costs are manageable and you can map a lot with the standard program. We only set up what we really need for our business processes, and at a fixed price!” emphasizes Basu.
