MICROSOFT DYNAMICS 365 – TALENT

The struggle for skilled workers is real. This is not just about the top people in management, but about qualified specialists at all levels. No company can stay on the market in the long term if its human resources management is not right. Specialists and talents have to be found, hired, promoted and paid. Talent for Microsoft Dynamics 365 helps with exactly these tasks.

Recruiting is just the beginning – HR software must be able to do more

It is often mistakenly assumed that it is enough to find suitable candidates and invite them for an interview and the case is closed. The truth is, however, that the search for suitable candidates has now become a lengthy process in which recruiting and applicant management themselves are only the beginning.

In order to retain talent, it is necessary that the entire personnel management is optimally coordinated. Recruitment, onboarding and management must mesh perfectly. This can save companies time and money. At the same time, good human resources management also signals appreciation to employees. Salaries paid on time, a pleasant onboarding process and targeted promotion of your employees make a decisive contribution to employee motivation and loyalty.

HR software from Microsoft: recruiting from the cloud
With the right software to the right personnel

It has long been the norm in German companies: Management and HR departments are desperately seeking new employees. How can Microsoft Talent HR software help with people development?

Andreas Eickel: Among other things, through a standard connection to LinkedIn. Information about the applicants can be linked directly. As is well known, LinkedIn has belonged to Microsoft for some time now, which is exactly why this platform is integrated. I firmly believe that LinkedIn will become the main network in the business sector in the foreseeable future. Basically, and this is what makes the Talent solution so attractive, it can be used to map the entire HR topic: from recruiting and applicant management to onboarding and the complete administration of the team – keyword: digital personnel file. Quite cumbersome methods, such as the parallel management of multiple Excel spreadsheets, are thus eliminated.

Can talent be used to identify staffing needs earlier than would be the case without a digital solution from the cloud?

Andreas Eickel: Definitely yes, through the Dynamics 365 overall concept with the many interconnected apps and solutions. For example: In Project Service Automations, I am shown missing resources in the project planning. I can then transfer such information directly into talent and work with it. It is therefore not least a supporting tool against the shortage of skilled workers in the company.

However, quite a few companies have outsourced their HR. Is there a possibility of cooperation with external service plasters in terms of personnel on a digital basis?

Andreas Eickel: Of course, without any problems. Because Dynamics 365 is completely open for interfaces anyway and can also directly access web services, external systems can be easily connected. Digitally supported in-house processing can start at any point in the HR process. Let’s take the classic case: the headhunter has found a suitable candidate, everyone is satisfied, the contracts have been signed. Through automatically transferred data, the onboarding process then continues within the company as part of Talents – and the subsequent processes, of course.

Are there any current plans for further development of the HR area within Dynamics?

Andreas Eickel: Not just plans – the Human Resources area is constantly being developed further and linked with services from Office 365. Certain processes can also be configured by accessing apps. Again, just one example: By storing application documents in SharePoint online, predefined processes can be started automatically in Talent.

What is the significance of these HR solutions for your customers?

Andreas Eickel: Not every company sees a corresponding need for itself. But: We have customers who absolutely want HR solutions in their overall software package. Therefore, it is very good that this area is also completely covered by the software of the provider Microsoft. HR thus becomes an integral part of the overall digital concept. You don’t need umpteen individual licenses, but get everything from a single source. This is exactly what we stand for as NAS conception.
